Problem
As the web app ‘air’ was developed additional assets started to be required for marketing and internal training purposes. The exisitng company brand was dated and not suitable for digital products. We decided to create a bespoke look and feel for the project. For speed, impact and to solve UI problems. It caused a few problems internally, but it was ultimately the correct decision. The UI also had to be adaptable for other clients branding (font, swatch and photography)
Solution
I took inspiration from my interest in Swiss Graphical design and my preference for flat UI (clean and simple). We decided to adopt Google’s Material design which was used throughout the interface to solve issues around layout and iconography.
Result
The brand is designed to be clean, simple and engaging. Responses from clients have always been positive for the look and feel of the app. It continues to be developed.
