Hi my name is Johnny and I’m a freelance UI and UX Designer. I’ve worked on a broad range of digital projects and interfaces over the last two decades. The digital world has changed immensely since 1999!

For the past several years I’ve been involved in the experiential learning sector. Developing an educational web application called ‘air’ and a desktop experience called inscape rooms. Both were for a global people development agency. I was the full time lead designer for all the UI, UX on air and worked collaboratively in a wider team on inscapes. Inscapes gave me exposure to the exciting world of 3d graphics in the form of three.js.

I’ve worked for companies in the retail, fashion, leisure, travel and finance sectors. Clients have included: HSBC, BAE Systems, EE mobile, Thortons Chocolates, Jack Daniel’s, Jaeger, Sony and John Lewis. Companies and agencies I have worked for include: John Lewis, Ogilvy & Mather, AKQA, Detica (BAE systems), Sapient Nitro & DMG Media (Daily Mail Group).

I’m interested in VR, education, and currently three.js. I’m passionate about the environment having grown up in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria.
