Problem
Impact delivers face-to-face learning solutions across the World. Some of these programs are delivered over several days as a premium immersive experience. Actors, dressed sets and technology are used. Delivery can be very costly, time-consuming, and involve international travel.
Challenge
To create a series of unique rooms with different experiences in each. To allow the users to explore and develop their own journey. Something that had the wow factor.
Solution
We created a web browser experience called ‘Inscape Rooms’. We adopted the use of Three.js to create several 3-dimensional interactive experiences. Three.js is a cross-browser JavaScript library and application programming interface. Our developers bridged a steep learning curve to get the JS interactions working, having never worked with Three.js before. As design lead, I created/explored, and pushed concepts. I worked with the dev team visualising and exploring the interactions of each room. The results were striking, fun, and fascinating.
Results
We have built multiple solutions for blue-chip clients. Google told us the concept was ‘game-changing’. In 2021 we decided to build and link a user management system to Inscape rooms. This would allow us to send 2000-plus users through an experience at any one time. The individual rooms and experiences continue to be developed with each new client.
