Impact have several websites. The UI and UX for these sites have been neglected over the years. I was tasked with briinging them into the 21st Century.
Safety is paramount to the company as some of the leadership work still remains in the outdoors. We have safety officers and staff who administrates and ensure best practices are always adhered to. We aim for the very best in Safetey Standards and this is recognised internationally. The site holds a wealth of safety information and procedures that are regualry updated for the whole Global business.
The site contains an overwhelming amount of content to digest. All important. I tried to make this more manageable for the user by using accordions where possible to hide information when it was not needed. Thus saving the endless scroll on mobile and helping the user to focus on important content
Material design was used through out the site to help introduce better practice with regards to drop downs, input fields and iconography. I’m a big fan of material design as I like its clean functionality and use of micro animations. Photography courtesy of the wonderful site Unsplash was used to humanise the site. Outdoor imagery gave warmth and interest to sometimes very dry subject matters
